What is this about HairChalk?!

Hi everyone!

We wanted to put a big post out today about a new product that has just been launched from L’Oréal Professionel. HairChalk is something that has been a long time coming for people who are thinking of trying out something really funky in their hair, without leaving any damage. When the product itself came in, I had the opportunity to try it out myself.

My hair is naturally very blonde, but I also have highlights in it therefore making it processed and more porous than my natural hair. That said, not all hair types are the same, but given the fact that the container says that the colour lasts between 2-3 shampoos, I wanted to put the product lable to the test. The colours that we have available are: Sweet Sixteen Pink, First Date Violet, Blue Ocean Cruise, Garden Party, Coral Sunset, Bronze Beach, Coffee Break and Black Tie.

Being that I am a total girly girl, I chose their super cute ‘Sweet Sixteen Pink’ and tossed a swipe through my hair. I added a little bit of water to it just to dilute the colour a little more so it didn’t show up so pink, but still fun. After the product had been applied, I combed it through to make sure the product was distributed evenly. After blowdrying and styling my hair as normal, it added this gorgeous pop of pink through my long layers, and I could barely feel the product in my hair. For my shade of blonde plus considering the fact that my hair was porous, it lasted in my hair for about a week and a half. Keeping in mind that I don’t always wash my hair every single day, it was a lot longer than what the product label indicated.

Overall, I do recommend this crazy fun product to anyone who wants to add a little sass to their hair. It didn’t damage my hair at all, and it was fun to have something different for a while! This product shows up on all hair colours, even darker shades. So much fun!!
